Play Pits All-Natural Deodorants for Children

My almost 11 year old daughter leads a very active life. Like most kids her age she goes to school 5 days a week, attends her weekly scouts meeting, goes to a baking class, participates in after-school activities, and more. I don’t know who leads a busier life? Me or my 11 year old daughter.

She’s a pre-teen now and one thing that I noticed was her “sweating” and let me tell you, this girl can sweat! After playing any type of sport, going rollerskating or ice skating, or after dance class her armpits smelled nasty. The odor that used to come from under her arms reminded me of moldy socks that laid in the bottom of the hamper for 2 weeks. Ewww, stinky!

We were contacted about reviewing the Play Pits All-Natural Deodorants for Children and jumped at the chance. The Princess was really excited about trying them out and stopping the embarrassing odor and sweating from her armpits. What’s really nice about this product is that it’s all-natural and made specifically for children to use, although its safe for all ages.

Types Include:

HAPPY – a light floral lavender scent. Even on the dullest of days HAPPY can turn your frown, upside down.

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Kaolin Clay, Candelilla Wax, Cornstarch, Baking Soda, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin E Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar.

SONSHINE – which is infused with a burst of orange, peppermint and a hint of lemongrass. The perfect combo to get your little busybody ready for the day.

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Kaolin Clay, Babassu Oil, Cornstarch, Baking Soda, Candelilla Wax, Apple Cider Vinegar, Zinc Oxide, Peppermint Essential Oil, Orange Essential Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil.

SUGA – a perfect blend of fruit essential oils, lemon, and grapefruit. It’s the perfect dose of Suga without the cavities.

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Kaolin Clay, Babassu Oil, Cornstarch, Baking Soda, Candelilla Wax, Apple Cider Vinegar, Zinc Oxide, Grapefruit Essential Oil, Lemon Essential oil, Lemongrass Essential oil.

I gave the deodorants to the Princess to try out. The first one that she used was the Play Pits SUGA with lemon, grapefruit and lemongrass. She likes to use this one after she has showered. The fragrance is sweet and light. Nothing over-powering at all. She appreciates that its clear and doesn’t stain to any of her clothing. It absorbs and dries within a few seconds.

The Play Pits SONSHINE is the deodorant that she keeps at school in her locker and uses it before gym class or any after-school athletic activities. SUNSHINE is made with orange, peppermint and lemongrass. Smells fresh and clean. Perfect for her to use before and after school athletic activities.

Every night before going to bed she likes to get a bubble bath. (Yes, she’s just like her Mom and Grandmother). After bathing at night she’s been using the Play Pits HAPPY with lavender. It’s a light floral fragrance and since it contains lavender its the perfect deodorant to help her unwind after a long day.

All three of the Play Pits All-Natural Deodorants for Children are fantastic! They absorb and dry quickly. All three of them smell nice (nothing over-powering) and none of them caused her any type of skin irritation. They do a great job at preventing the odor that used to come from her sweating! They’re easy-to-use and come in roll-up deodorant stick form. They’re not a roll-on or a spray.
