I’m a busy mom to two beautiful children. During the holiday season we’re constantly on-the-go. I need snacks that are easy-to-make and are 100% grab-and-go. I prefer homemade healthier snacks as compared to the store-bought junk. Just saying. The recipe utilizes dried fruits and I find them at our local farmer’s market for a really affordable price. If your kids insist on a little sweetness you could toss in a few semi-sweet chocolate chips or M&M candies.
Today’s guest post recipe is right up my alley. You only need a few ingredients to make it and you can totally customize the recipe to what you particularly like. The recipe is courtesy of Popcorn.org and will make approximately 5 cups. You could totally toss in some peanuts, cashews and/or almonds too! YUMMY!!!

I would omit the raisins and add some nuts and perhaps dates.
Popcorn is my Favorite go to snack..Making a trail mix out of it is right up my alley! lol.. I would probably enjoy the juicy raisins, not too sure about dried fruit though..Kind of hard for me to chew,,,But the Juicy raisins and the M&Ms sound awesome. Thank You for giving me a good idea for doctoring up my Popcorn.. Have a Great day. 🙂
For a trail mix, I would for sure add nuts. They add some protein.
I never thought of adding popcorn to trail mix now I have to try it. This sounds like a perfect snack for a road trip thanks for sharing and have a wonderful Leap Day tomorrow.
This sounds yummy! I like that you can add additional items. We can’t do nuts because our daughter is allergic but there are so many other possibilities.
This would be so good. You could add anything you like, too. Maybe some M&M’s for a hint of chocolate, or yogurt covered raisins instead of the regular raisins.
My mother would say no way!!! She will not eat popcorn unless it is hot. Now me I could make popcorn and eat on it for a week. So this is right up my ally make it, bag up some individual bags to grab and go
