Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Popcorn Snack Mix

January 7, 2020 by Carol

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Popcorn Snack MixLooking for an easy and delicious snack mix to make for the kids? Here’s a guest post recipe from Popcorn.org that can be tossed together quickly and you can vary the ingredients to specifically what you like. For example, I dislike walnuts, but I love cashews, so I would toss those in instead.

The recipe will make approximately 10 cups of snack mix. I love mixes like this which are perfect for on-the-go use. I would mix it up and then separate it out into snack-size bags. Then just grab one when I need it. I think you could easily toss in some dried fruit too.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Popcorn Snack Mix Recipe

8 cups popped popcorn
3 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup crunchy granola
1 cup raisins
1 cup walnut halves

Toss popcorn with melted butter. Combine granulated sugar with the ground cinnamon; sprinkle over popcorn. Toss with granola, raisins and walnuts until combined. Store in an airtight container.

I love all these different popcorn recipes. It would be much healthier to eat some of this mix than to have the cookies.

For me, if I wanted to eat all these things, I’d eat the granola. I guess I’m a popcorn purist. Butter, Salt and maybe some cheese, please.

Popcorn is one of our favorite snacks so it is nice to see all these varieties of ways to spice it up. With the nuts and raisins it makes a healthy treat.
