Meet Our New Kitten – Little Romeo

Romeo - Our 3 1/2 Month Old KittenSome of you may remember that we rescued and adopted a 3 year old handsome boy back in April 2019 who we named Tucker. He was loved and adored by our entire family, especially me. He was my constant companion and my best friend. Sadly, he passed away suddenly on October 19th, 2019. Sam and I were totally devastated and grief stricken. I never knew I could love a cat that deeply and it hurt so bad! I still miss him and cry almost every day.

On December 21st 2019 our daughter Jenelle and her husband surprised us with a new 3 month old kitten. We adopted him from a local cat rescue group. We named our new little boy Romeo (Moe for short) because he’s a lover…a snuggle boy! He loves to be rocked to sleep, cuddled and always has to be with one of us or he cries. He’s adorable!

When we saw him for the first time we instantly fell in-love with him. We signed the papers for the adoption & Jenelle paid the adoption fee as a Christmas gift to us this year. What a great holiday gift!!!

Today I wanted to share a few photos with all of you of our handsome boy Romeo. He’s a beautiful chalk white color with leopard spots on his back, tiger stripes on his tail and 2 brown patches on his ears. He still has his baby blue eyes which look to be changing (slowly) to green…although I’m not positive on that.

He loves to play with all of his new toys that he received for Christmas. We’ll be sharing a lot of cool cat toy reviews with all of you over the coming weeks. Some really unique things that are perfect for your furry friend. When in the living room he likes to nap on the grandchildren’s bean bag chair (top photo) but we do have 2 additional pet beds in other rooms that he likes to use too.

In the second photo you can see Moe laying beside me while I do some blogging. As you can see…he has to be with one of us at all times or he cries. Yes, something we’ll be working on to help him overcome that fear of being alone. He was originally found wondering around in a cornfield all by himself at the age of 3 or 4 weeks of age. He was rescued and bottle fed by his foster Mom and raised until we adopted him at 3 1/2 months age. He’s neutered and has a fun personality. We just adore our little guy.
