It’s important that we instill the love for reading in our children at a very young age. In my honest opinion, it’s never too early to read to a child. I started reading to my children at the age of one and both of my kids now love to read.

Most people are familiar with Ripley’s Believe It or Not’s books for older children and adults. But did you know that they have books for toddlers and young children too? Well, they do!

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odd Opposites is a board book that’s perfect for the younger kids. ISBN: 978-1-60991-284-0.

These board books are perfectly sized for the hands of small children and feature double-sided pages that have simple words (wordage). The illustrations are adorable and they help to teach children how to read, spell, about putting together a story, colors, numbers, etc. They’re the perfect starter books in a child’s library collection.

Let’s talk about all of the gift giving possibilities. They make great holiday gifts, birthday gifts, baby shower gifts, Valentine’s Day and Easter gifts, etc. I think children should be given a lot of different type’s of books to instill the love of reading.
