The first day of December which means we have 24 more days until Christmas. For those of you who have children or grandchildren do you count down the days until Christmas with them? Do you have an Advent Calendar or something special that you do? We have a house shaped wooden thing that has 25 little cubby holes in it. I put a little something in each hole and the kids alternate days opening up the little door to get the surprise that’s inside. My 10 1/2 year old isn’t really into the Christmas specials on TV this year (guess she’s too old) but my son is loving them. Do you have a favorite?
I love all the older Christmas movies. My favorite is the original Miracle on 34th Street. Our Advent is devotionals since there are no children in the house now.
I gave my grandsons an advent calendar, but my granddaughter is still too young. Of the kid’s specials I still love Frosty the most. I am looking forward to this week’s posts and gift suggestions.
