Mozaics Chips — A Crunchy, Delicious, and Healthy Snack
True confession: I am a snacker. Unfortunately, that means that too often, the food I eat is just not healthy, so when I find a snack that is as nutritious as it is delicious, I am one happy camper. Hooray for Mozaics Popped Veggie & Potato Chips!

With their amazing crunch and great taste, Mozaics are sure to satisfy even the hungriest snacker. And I do mean satisfy—there are a whopping 23 chips in each ounce, so you won’t feel at all deprived, and better yet, that ounce clocks in at only 110 calories. The main ingredient is peas, so Mozaics are chock-full of fiber and protein, and the light olive-oil spray the chips receive means they’re low in fat, too. They’re made in the USA and are certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, and kosher by the appropriate certifying bodies. Furthermore, they contain no artificial ingredients, flavorings, or preservatives, and they’re made in a peanut- and tree-nut-free facility. Yes, friends, Mozaics are a snacker’s guilt-free dream!
The name “Mozaics” is fitting, since the chips look like pretty little mosaics—you can actually see the veggies they’re made from, which retain their bright color and flavor due to the fact that the chips are popped rather than fried or baked. The company describes the process this way: “We take good-for-you ingredients, like peas, black beans, potatoes and rice, and shape them into pieces about the size of a lentil. They’re mixed up and placed into a triangular mold where heat and pressure are applied. After a few seconds, the ingredients…pop! They expand quickly, like popcorn, blowing off energy and moisture and fusing together. Since the ingredients are mixed at random and then placed into the mold, each chip comes out with a different pattern of colors—like a mosaic.”
I can attest that Mozaics taste every bit as good as they look. For my review, I received four varieties of Mozaics: Sea Salt, BBQ, Cheddar, and Sour Cream & Onion (they also come in Salsa flavor). All four are absolutely delicious, but my favorite is the Sea Salt, and I’m not alone, since Sea Salt is Mozaics’ best seller. My husband loves cheese, so his top pick is the Cheddar flavor, and we both enjoyed the sweetness of the BBQ and the savory notes of the Sour Cream & Onion.
Pick up a few bags of Mozaics, put them out at your next party, and watch how quickly they’ll disappear. Or be like me, and hide your Mozaics in a pantry so you can hoard them all for yourself. Ha!
