We enjoy getting our 2 grandchildren, 2 nephews and our one niece twice a month for family movie time. We like to order a pizza, serve finger foods, popcorn and their favorite beverages. It’s a nice way to spend time with them and to give their parents a well needed break.

Last week we had the kids over to watch the new DVD release titled Bernie the Dolphin 2 starring Kevin Sorbo and Patrick Muldoon. We’re a beach-loving family so I knew this film was the perfect one for our movie date. It’s approved by the Dove Foundation, so its great for all ages.
Movie Synopsis: Kevin and Holly are thrilled that their dolphin friend Bernie has come back to the harbor. But so has their old enemy Winston (Kevin Sorbo, TV’s “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”), who’s just gotten out of prison. As the kids have fun with playful dolphin Rascal and sassy parrot Mango, Winston is forced by his old partner to help kidnap the talented Bernie. Can Kevin and Holly uncover the scheme and save their splashy friend before it’s too late? This charming family comedy also stars Patrick Muldoon (Starship Troopers).
Check out the official movie trailer above.
We received a complimentary DVD and party pack for our movie viewing party. I made copies of the activity sheets so that each child could work on the printed activities. I kept the other goodies for myself since I didn’t have enough for each child.
Bernie the Dolphin 2 is the perfect family-friendly movie for everyone to enjoy. The youngest who watched it that day was 4 years old and the oldest was 58 with everyone else in between. We all enjoyed it! Its a well-written movie with an entertaining story line. The actors did a great job in drawing you into each character. We loved the entire theme of the movie since we’re beach and marine animal lovers.
One of the BEST things about the movie is that its NOT another princess or superhero film. While those are okay…we’re tired of the same old, same old thing! This movie is different, fun and entertaining. Little kids, teenagers, adults through seniors will enjoy watching this one. Good, clean, fun…entertainment!
