Create adorable yarn figures of “the boy who lived” and his friends with a 76-page instruction book featuring step-by-step instructions to make 12 amigurumi dolls, including Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dobby, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape, Hedwig, Voldemort, McGonagall, Ginny, the Sorting Hat, Norbert the Dragon and other fun fan favorites.
All the materials you need to make Harry Potter and Dobby (with his sock!) are included: yarn, stuffing, needle and thread, safety eye beads, and a special crochet hook shaped like Harry’s wand. Full-color photos will ensure your projects turn out completely enchanting.
I picked up a crochet hook for the first time when I was 12 years old and the first project that I ever completed was a scarf. Back in the 60’s and 70’s girls were taught how to crochet afghans, ponchos, socks, scarves, hats and mittens out of necessity, these days I crochet for pure enjoyment.
My great-granddaughter is a big fan of the Harry Potter movies and books. There’s something magical and entertaining about them that kids and adults love. At the age of 70 I enjoy the movies too.
The Harry Potter Crochet Kit with instruction book comes with enough supplies to complete 2 projects: Harry Potter and Dobby. The instruction book contains directions to make 14 characters and you can easily pick up additional supplies to make them from your local craft store.
Each character featured in the instruction book comes with a materials list and step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. You can make all of the characters or just your child’s favorites. The crochet hook that comes in your kit looks like Harry’s magic wand which was a nice surprise when I opened the box.
Right now I’m recovering from carpal tunnel surgery and as soon as I’m done with the recovery process I’m going to sit down and make several of the characters for my great granddaughter and grandson. I won’t have them done in time for Christmas but that’s okay…I know they’ll love them either way.
