Happy Thanksgiving 2019

Happy Thanksgiving Thanksgiving is one of the holidays that I always look forward to. It’s a great day to give thanks for all of the blessings in our lives, a day to spend time with our families, and a day to indulge in great-tasting food.

Every year my family likes to pay-it-forward for Thanksgiving by making up a dozen food boxes filled with food and donating them to seniors or veterans in need. We included boxed & canned goods, freshly baked bread, cookies and fruit pies. We include a $50 gift card to a local grocery store where they can pick up fresh produce and meats. This year I included several jars of my homemade salsa, jam, tomato sauce, etc. that I had made over the summer. We enjoy helping those who are less fortunate and I know these boxes are appreciated. Next year we’re going to increase our efforts to 18 boxes and I’m excited about that!

The writers at TwoClassyChics blog are thankful for all of our great blog readers who visit the blog every day. Many of you have been reading the TCC blog from the very beginning…for 10 years and counting! We’ve enjoyed getting to know many of you and hope you all have enjoyed getting to know us!

We hope everyone enjoys the holiday with their friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

  1. II hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It is a time to reflect on how blessed we are whether you have little or a whole lot. I love the thing you are doing for the veterans so many out there who need help ye hesitate to ask. We generally help serve a meal at Salvation Army bu did not get to this year. They have a huge meal there and all are welcome.

  2. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I love the idea of giving back. Part of our family goes and serves at one of the kitchens while the others stay home and cook for the whole family. I can’t believe it has been 10 years. I have been reading it off and on for almost all of that time. Congratulations of a decade of great blogging.

  3.  Happy Thanksgiving! I don’t think I’ve been reading your blog for the full 10 years, but it has been many years. Thanks for all the work you do.

  4. It is so nice of you all to give back to the local needy community! My husband and I do something similar. We truly believe God wants us to give back and through our actions we will be blessed 10 fold so that we can further help others.

  5. Happy Thanksgiving! I hope y’all are having a nice holiday; our turkey dinner was yummy, all the dishes are done, and so am I! What a nice and generous tradition of giving, with all of those boxes–I bet they’re very much appreciated.
