Much of this money goes toward expensive flights to long-haul destinations, money that can otherwise be saved since you’re not forking out for flights. When your only expense is hotels and gas, you can put more away to save for extra-special activities. This also means you can go on more than one vacation for the same price every year.
You can explore a stunning natural world
When you are driving between destinations, you’ll likely see some unique natural sights along the way. The United States is home to desert, forests, and mountains, all of which you have the freedom to visit when you’re traveling by car.
