Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Truffles Recipe

When it comes to chocolate candy…truffles are one of my favorites! I can’t walk into a candy store without buying them. I will pop one or two into my mouth and just let them slowly melt, so that I can enjoy them for as long as possible. A lot of calories, yes, but so good!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Truffles Recipe

1 cup confectioners’ sugar
2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup cream cheese, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Dark Chocolate
1 1/2 cups cream
1/2 cup hand crushed pretzel sticks

Using an electric mixer, beat confectioners’ sugar, peanut butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until light and fluffy, about 4 to 6 minutes. Scrape the mixture onto a sheet of waxed paper and fold over to seal. Press gently to form a disc about 1 inch thick. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour or overnight.

Using a 1 tablespoon scoop, form the mixture into 1 inch balls. Set on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until firm, about 30 minutes.

Combine AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Dark Chocolate and cream in a heatproof bowl. Set over a pan of gently simmering water and stir until smooth. Remove from heat.

Using a fork, dip the peanut butter balls in the chocolate mixture one at a time, coating evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl, then transfer to a wax paper-lined baking sheet. Garnish with crushed pretzels while the chocolate is still warm. Repeat with remaining truffles.

Store truffles in freezer until ready to serve for up to 1 month.

  3. This for me is a perfect combination with the crunch of the pretzels and the dark chocolate and peanut butter combination. Only problem is I would eat way too many.

They look so good. I want to make them with the girls. They will be thrilled to say they did them.

  5. How about I let my brother just eat the pretzels. I’ll make the truffles without it.
