In the 1920s and 30s, French artist Robert Lambry (1902–1934) created a series of charming step-by-step lessons for drawing animals for a weekly children’s paper. They were later compiled into a book Les Animaux Tels Qu’ils Sont (Animals as They Are) and now, almost 100 years later, these beautiful lineworks will guide you to drawing perfection.

* Ocean creatures, like a whale, lobster, and seal
My 10 year old granddaughter enjoys arts and crafts. She will sit for hours drawing, painting, scrapbooking, coloring, gluing things together, sculpting things with modeling clay, etc. I’m really happy that my creativity has rubbed off on her over the past several years.
Recently I received The Draw Any Animal Book and I knew it was the perfect learn how-to-draw book for a 10 year old. This book has over 150 simple step-by-step drawing sequences for every kind of animal that you can imagine. Even if a particular animal isn’t featured in the book…you can use the tools that you’ll learn to create it all on your own.
In the front of the book you’ll find the section that teaches you how to draw the basic shapes. You’ll then move on to draw the animals that interest you. They’re all broken down into sections throughout the book: Dogs, Cats, Mice, Rats, Weasels, Squirrels, rabbits, bears, wolves, foxes, otters, frogs, fish, sheep, turkeys, roosters, raptors, seagulls, owls, lions, big cats, cattle, zebras, reptiles, whales, shellfish, bugs, butterflies, snails, camels, and many more!!!
I think this book would make a great birthday gift or holiday gift. Just buy a sketch pad, pencils & a few erasers to go along with it. A great learn how-to-draw book for older children, teenagers and adults. Basically, anyone who wants to learn how to draw animals.
