Painting on Rocks and Seashells with Acrylic Paint Pens

12 Acrylic Paint Markers for CraftingI’ve been enjoying various arts and crafts since the age of 12. Over the decades I’ve created thousands of different arts & craft projects. The majority of them have been for my personal pleasure and other’s have been given away as gifts. Every room in my home has at least one item in it that I’ve personally created. If you walk around our front & backyard you’ll find all kinds of hand painted rocks and seashells decorating my garden areas. That brings me to my next point.

One thing that I’ve always struggled with is decorative painting. I’ve mastered a lot of the different crafting mediums, but hand painting is something I’m not very talented in. With that said, I can certainly “fake it” by using Acrylic Paint Pens and Acrylic Paint Markers. That’s right, if you’re not good with a paint brush or you don’t want to mess with a slew of messy paints…you can go the easy way with Acrylic Paint Pens & Markers.

12 Acrylic Paint Markers for Crafting

A few months ago I purchased a set of 12 Acrylic Paint Pens with medium-point tips from Amazon and love them!!! You can use them to paint on river rocks, seashells, canvas, glass, wood, cardstock & cardboard, ceramic mugs, plaster items, etc. They’re very versatile and easy-to-use. Perfect for Adults and older children to use.

The set includes 12 popular colors and the paint is permanent. They’re water-based, non-toxic, and they don’t have a foul odor when you’re using them. If you’re sensitive to paint smells, you’re going to love this set! An added bonus is that the paint dries fairly quickly too.

If you’re looking for a great set of Acrylic Paint Pens and Markers to use with the various craft projects that we’ve shared with you here on the blog…this is the set that I personally recommend that you use. Looking for those CRAFT PROJECT IDEAS? Just click on the link to find hundreds of them!!!

How to Use: You’ll want to shake the paint pen every time you want to use it. Just give it a few shakes to get the paint to disperse. Remove the cap. You may need to pump the tip a few times on a scrap piece of paper to get the paint to flow into the tip. Once it does, you’re ready to start using them on your desired surface. That’s it. Really easy-to-use!

This is the first time I have heard of acrylic paint in pens. I think these pens would be very useful for projects.

Honestly, I’ve don’t believe I’ve heard of acrylic paint pens. I think they would be great for painting in tight areas. My daughter is just getting into painting with acrylics, I’ll have to check into these!

  3. I like that they don’t smell bad like others. Quick drying is also a bonus.
