Is Acupuncture Better Than Dry Needling?

September 16, 2019 by Sam H.

Is Acupuncture Better Than Dry NeedlingSometimes we feel so bad that we immediately seek therapists; today there are different methods and techniques to recover our health. Getting a massage therapist is one of the best solutions when it comes to these problems.

Two of these techniques that therapists usually use are known as acupuncture and dry puncture. Being the first one of the oldest methods to recover the energy balance of the body, our body, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, has two opposite predominant energies, which are known as Yin and Yang.

When the Yin and Yang are unbalanced, the problems that cause the origin of many
affections that could be dangerous for us to begin, for example, stress is the most common when things are bad. This Chinese technique is based on the use o
f short needles, placing them in different parts of the body, where the energy channels are unbalanced. The needles never reach the most profound muscle tissue by the therapist.

Acupuncture is easily applied to healing people who study the main principles
of the ancient discipline, and it is aimed at reducing stress and pain in an area of the body located. The needles are not necessarily placed in the area of pain. They are located in the opposite place of the body.

Therefore, acupuncture is not the only way to recover health, in fact, it depends on the degree of our affection, when the health condition requires professional treatment, it is necessary to go to kinesiologists and chiropractors, they are also massage therapists with extensive studies of great importance, this is why calling My home therapy massage therapist is indicated, they always have a higher degree of instruction and therapeutic medical knowledge.

What is Dry Needling? What is that?

Let me try to explain, Dry Needling consists in to use similar Acupuncture needles, but longer, to reach deeper muscle tissue, even ligaments and superficial bones affected for pains or certain kind of skeleton pathology, produced by the custom of using, movements or Laboral positions. It is called trigger points.

The massage therapists use the longer Acupuncture needles and directly pinch that trigger point, for a couple of minutes, reducing whichever pain and relaxing the affected muscle. Dry Needling does not apply any liquid or medical component; what the massage therapists try to produce are spasms or shaking in the trigger pain point.

These shakings finally are going to release the muscular tension. Both disciplines are oriented to recover health and our welfare the main difference is acupuncture only works in stress tension, easy to do by the therapist. Is acupuncture better than Dry Needling? Well, the one and the other are useful to reduce pains and recover welfare.

The level of affection is an indicator of what discipline we need, acupuncture is known all over the world for centuries and has been successful in most the cases, producing excellent therapists healing people.

Is a usual image of therapists putting and pinching with those magical needles in different parts of the sick body, with surprising results?

Dry Needling is a relatively new method to recover health, it comes from the use of RX and tomographic images, and they are allowed to see difference’s inflammations of body.

The main different between these techniques are these:

Acupuncture

* Acupuncture is a traditional technique
* It works on the surface of the body
* No painful
* It can do it for a healer person
* Nonscientific pieces of evidence

Dry Needling

* Comes from scientific medicine
* It works both superficial and deep tissues
* Used to muscles pain
* It can be painfully
* Only Physiotherapists are allowed
* Supported by scientific evidence
* Immediately relaxation

Therefore, it is up to you and your state of health what discipline you are looking for, if you are a person of good physical condition who generally does heavy exercises in a gym, it is reasonable to go first to a doctor to get a comprehensive examination You, including your diet. Most of our diseases have a very close relationship with the type of food we eat.

When you are a person in a hurry live, it is time to review what is convenient or not for your life. In any case, you can get a lot of information on the Internet before hiring a massage therapist.

We know that living in a busy city is not easy, but it is necessary to prevent each situation from affecting or disturbing our health. Prevention is the best of medicine, and get a positive attitude for the benefit of everything.

    I have never heard of dry needling so this was very interesting. I know many people that have had success with acupuncture though I have never tried it myself.

    I’ve always found acupuncture interesting. I think it would be great to try it. Hey, if something works I’m not going to ignore it just because it’s alternative medicine.
