How To Make Your Relationship More Comfortable

September 10, 2019 by Sam H.

How To Make Your Relationship More ComfortableThere are many people out there who ended up in a relationship just to realize they are not really comfortable with the person of their choosing. If you notice you or your partner do not feel comfortable in your relationship, look for the reasons, observe and open up about it. Nothing can be fixed if you keep it all to yourself!

How to have a healthy relationship is the question we all asked ourselves at least once. However, being comfortable in a relationship is not the easiest thing to do, it requires effort and a lot of patience to do so. Some relationships are simply meant to fail and this alone might be the reason you are feeling uncomfortable. Luckily, there is DoULike – a website meant to help you find that special someone and be as comfortable as you can possibly be.

If you are still stuck wondering about how to be comfortable with your boyfriend or girlfriend, here are a couple of rather simple things you can do to make it happen.

Find out why do you feel uncomfortable around your partner

Each time you find yourself feeling uncomfortable around your partner, observe and think of the reasons why it happens. If you are not certain of the reasons, and you have no idea where your uncomfortable feelings come from, talk to your partner. Tell them about all of the moments you felt uncomfortable around them and ask them for advice. A person who cares about you will always give you an honest answer, even if their answer is not originally what they like to talk about.

Make sure you talk to your partner

There are many things you and your partner can/should talk about, sex, happiness, future, desires, and life goals. Talking about all these things will keep you entertained, curious and make you feel as if you are getting closer to your significant other. Refusing to talk about these things will most likely result in a huge lack of trust and a lot of doubt.

Share your secrets and deepest thoughts

Your long-kept secrets and your deepest thoughts may not be something you wish to share with everyone, but you really should with that special someone. Knowing each other’s secrets will make you feel comfortable and safe around them, you will openly talk about your thoughts and feel no doubt around them at all. Seeing someone loves you even after you have told them everything about yourself is lovely and something you both will appreciate. Usually, sharing it all with your partner will create a great bond between the two of you and your relationship will grow to be stronger than ever!

Have a lot of patience when it comes to your relationship

There are times your partner will do things you do not really like or agree with. Do not freak out and make a drama about everything that does not go your way. Same as you find them annoying at times, they find you annoying too. There is no relationship out there that is perfect or flawless as you think, everyone is different and our perception is often rather colorful. You may not enjoy seeing your boyfriend play games with their best friend, but if this is what they like to do, do not be the one to ruin it for them. Be patient and keep yourself occupied with the things you like and enjoy. At the end of the day, giving freedom to your partner to do things they like will also give you many new things to talk about and have a good laugh.

Talk about your opinions openly and show your concern for your significant other

Everything your partner does should be discussed openly without any secrets kept in mind. If you are disliking the fact your boyfriend spends too much time playing games or watching sports – tell them! You cannot expect anyone to read your mind and know exactly what made you annoyed or upset. Be open about it and always be willing to listen. No one is perfect, neither are you. Just make sure to pick the perfect time for such conversations. You do not want to start a discussion related to their behavior around their friends or family. Some things should be discussed only when you are alone with your partner.
