Curious George: Royal Monkey on DVD

When I was growing up Curious George was one of my favorite characters. I can remember having several Curious George books and I would get up early on Saturday mornings to watch him on TV. He is one of America’s beloved cartoon characters and has been adored by millions of children around the globe.

Curious George: Royal Monkey on DVD

Curious George: Royal Monkey is being released on DVD and Video on Demand starting on September 10th, 2019. The holiday season is quickly approaching and this DVD would make a great holiday gift for a little one on your gift-giving list. Here’s some information about the DVD and the upcoming release.

Curious George makes his royal debut in the new feature-length animated movie, Curious George: Royal Monkey, arriving on Digital, DVD and streaming on Hulu on September 10, 2019 from Universal 1440 Entertainment, the original content production arm of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, and Imagine Entertainment. Filled with delightful antics, gentle humor and heartfelt emotion that have captivated the hearts of families around the world, the majestic film follows George as he trades places with the royal monkey of Simiana by mistake! Taking audiences on a colorful grand adventure with exciting new locations and a fresh cast of adorable characters, Curious George: Royal Monkey features returning voice cast Emmy Award® winners Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo! franchise) and Jeff Bennett (“Johnny Bravo” TV series) and showcases five original songs including a single by award-winning recording artist and songwriter Andy Grammer. Check out the official trailer below. Funny stuff!

Join your favorite monkey as he takes on his most regal role yet in Curious George: Royal Monkey. After disrupting a meeting with a stuffy royal family, George accidentally trades places with the king’s snooty monkey, Philippe. While Philippe puzzles Ted with his flawless manners, George travels to the castle where his fun-loving antics raise eyebrows and bring shy Princess Isabel out of her shell. Featuring all-new music from Andy Grammer, this king-sized adventure reminds us all that doing what you love is the key to happiness.

We received a complimentary DVD and I sat down with my grandchildren to watch it last weekend. Curious George is a classic, pure clean fun for kids to enjoy.  What’s really nice about this DVD is that its a movie, not a snippet of a TV show. It has a run time of 1 hour 27 minutes and is rated G. The DVD contains 4 new songs which is fun for the kids to sing-along. My 10 year old granddaughter lost interest about 25 minutes into the movie, so I guess she’s too old for Curious George now, but my 4 year old grandson watch the entire thing. He would sing, dance and had his eye balls glued to the TV. If you have younger-aged children I think they’re really going to enjoy the film.

If you need any upcoming birthday gifts or holiday gifts, this DVD would be a great one to pick-up and give as a gift. You can find it on Amazon for a great price.
