Title: The Best Freezer Cookbook
100 Freezer-Friendly Recipes, Plus Tips and Techniques
Author: Jan Main
Publisher: Robert Rose
ISBN: 978-0-7788-0197-9

Synopsis: Freezing is the easiest, most natural way to preserve food, whether it’s a fresh summer harvest saved for enjoyment in winter or delicious prepared meals that can be easily thawed and reheated when needed. But what many people don’t realize is that some foods freeze better than others. For those foods that do freeze well, using the proper techniques can make a big difference in their flavor and texture, and that’s where this cookbook comes in.

The Best Freezer Cookbook by Jan Main

Sample of Recipes: Strawberry Preserves, Rhubarb-Strawberry Cobbler with Candied Ginger, Chicken Tortellini Soup with Peas, Best-Ever Meatloaf, Vegetarian Shephard’s Pie with Peppered Potato Topping, Coq au Vin, Pork Apple Curry, Easy Bouillabaisse, Mediterranean Tomato Sauce, Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies, Cinnamon Chocolate Torte, Big-Batch Bran Muffins, and more!

Also Included: Freezing tips, techniques, and charts for fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, poultry, fish and seafood. Recipes for everything from appetizers to quick suppers, and meals for entertaining. Monthly meal-planning menus and ideas.

This cookbook is a great starting point for anyone who wants to learn how to preserve food by freezing it for later use. Not only is it great for beginners, but its great for those of us with a lot of experience too!

In the beginning of the book you’ll find a chapter called Freezer Essentials where you’ll learn how freezing preserves food, tips for freezing, packing food for the freezer, how long it will keep, how to thaw frozen food, what type of freezer you’ll need and tips on how to keep your freezer organized. Yes, the author covers everything you need to know.

The recipes are really easy-to-follow and almost all of the recipes use ingredients that you can find in any grocery store. There are preparation tips, techniques, and variations that are shared with you among the pages. If you enjoy mouth-watering foodie photography, you’ll find that in here too!

Robert Rose publishes some of the best cookbooks out in the retail marketplace. I own around 50 of their books and I’m proud to have them in my collection. Seriously, they’re the MOST-USED books in my kitchen!!!
