As you can see in the picture posted above, my family is OBSESSED with the Ripley’s books, especially my step-son. Every time I tell him that I have a new Ripley’s book for him, his face lights up…you better believe he will be reading that book in bed before he falls asleep. These books contain countless hours of entertainment…my step-son will even put down his electronics just so he can flip through the pages. What I love the most about these books, is that is gives our family something to talk about during dinner time. My step-son loves to share his favorite stories from each book. It’s a book for everyone to enjoy, children and adults.

I told Conner about the newest Ripley’s book the other night. He’s been asking me since that night when he will get a chance to read it. He will be so excited to have the whole weekend to read it. Whenever he gets a new Ripley’s book, he takes it with him between households for a few weeks…until he finishes reading it.

I really like the Ripley’s books too. They’ve been around way before I was a little girl. I remember having to wait months in order to check out one of their titles from the library, both school library and public library. I never had the opportunity to own my very own copy, so I make sure to get the newest copies whenever I can for Conner. Beyond the Bizarre! delivers the way you expect any Ripley’s book to deliver. As with all others, it’s broken into chapters: Believe It, World, Animals, Pop Culture, People and Beyond Belief.

What I like the most about this title is that it makes mention of articles that are featured in some of their other books. Some articles were featured in Odd is Art (a title I am interested in getting for myself) and 100 Best Bions. I also like the eight “Your Uploads” mini inserts which happens to be sprinkled throughout the book. Overall, this book was just as enjoyable to read as any of their other titles.
