How many of you enjoy eating corn on the cob? I know we do! From June through early October my family eats a lot of it. The kids like eating it while its still on the cob but most of the adults like removing it first. That would include me!

We plant a large garden every summer and we can’t eat our corn fast enough. So, I like to freeze and/or home can our corn for use during the winter season. If you’re interested in learning how to blanch and freeze corn…you can check out our previous post on that.
Over the years I’ve tried many different kitchen gadgets and tools to remove corn kernels from the cob and none of them have worked as well as the Pampered Chef Corn Kernel Cutter. I personally purchased mine from Amazon and love it! Matter of fact, I wish I had purchased it years ago! Where has this tool been all my life????
It features a curved, stainless steel blade that easily removes the kernels from the cob with ease! It doesn’t crush your kernels and just glides down the ear with very little pressure. There is a plastic husker blade attached to it to help you remove the ears from the husks too. That’s right ladies, no more busted fingernails!
The ergonomically shaped handle fits comfortably in your hand. My husband and I both use it (I’ve got little hands) and he has (big hands), and its comfortable for us both. I like the way that it was designed so that you won’t cut up your hands and guess what? It’s completely dishwasher safe! Yup, when you’re dong using it…toss into the dishwasher for cleaning.
Pampered Chef makes a lot of great kitchen tools but I have to admit…the Pampered Chef Corn Kernel Cutter is my absolute favorite product! In my honest opinion, its the best corn-on-the-cob kernel stripper in the retail marketplace. If you want to safely and easily remove the kernels from an ear of corn…you definitely need this kitchen tool.

This is a clever tool. I cut the corn off many cobs. It certainly would be useful in my kicthen.
I need this. I make lots of summer salads with fresh corn and usually just use a knife but this would be so much better.
What a clever little tool. I would like one of those.
