One of the first things visitors see when they come to your home is your front yard (or backyard), depending on where they park. I’m the type of person who enjoys gardening and setting up pretty little areas around our yard. First impressions and curb appeal are everything!!!

Throughout my front and back yards you’ll find flower beds and little gardening areas that I’ve set up and decorated. Every year I find a new little area to decorate or re-decorate one that currently needs some attention. I like to add new flowers, plants, garden figurines & statues, bird baths, bird feeders, solar lights, etc. It’s so much fun!
I decorate our home in the coastal and beach style, so I carry that same theme outdoors in our gardening and landscaping projects. I like everything and anything that has to do with the beach and the coastal lifestyle. I like things to coordinate, add a little bit of color and they have to look pretty!
Amazon is one of my go-to shopping sites when it comes to picking up unique things for my landscaping and gardening projects. For several months I was looking for a solar powered flamingo to add to my front yard but all of the ones that I was finding were made of tacky plastic or acrylic. Ugh! Just not my style.
After browsing around on Amazon I found some beautiful solar powered glass flamingo garden lights and just had to have them! Flamingos are social animals, so I needed more than just one! I purchased three! By going with glass flamingo solar lights they’ll last a lot longer than plastic ones and trust me, they look a lot prettier too!
There is an on/off switch located by the solar panel, so once you take it out of the box…turn it on. Take it outside so that it can charge up during the daylight hours and once nighttime arrives…you’ll have some beautiful light. These lights aren’t what I call overly-bright…they glow and just add some ambiance to the area that they’re placed in.
These lights are the perfect height (around 28″ tall), so you can easily place them in your flower beds, large flower pots & urns, in your gardening areas, etc. I really love how they look during the daytime and they glow beautifully at night. The quality is exceptional too!
Now that I’ve got my flamingos I’m on the hunt for the perfect mermaid garden statue. I’m not sure if I want her to be solar-powered or just a really nice statue or perhaps water fountain. I’ll know when I find the perfect one!

These are very pretty flamingos. They are unusual too and definitely add ambiance.
