Okay, I know its June 17th and I know I’m a little (a lot) behind on some of my bargain hunting and frugal finds posts. Please forgiving me! We’ve had a LOT going on the past 2 months with the family.
Back in early May I went to one of my favorite stores when it comes to hunting down bargains and deals. Yes, Big Lots! I talk about BL all of the time here on the blog and I’m often showing you the items that I scored. Well guess what? I scored again and I scored BIG TIME!!!
I had wanted to get there sooner to look for some after Easter deals…but sadly, I missed most of them. They ONLY had a small stash of items left when I got there. However, the items I did find and buy…I got for a rock-bottom price!
The large plush Easter Bunny was on final clearance for $3.00. The smaller Easter bunny was on clearance for $1.50 and the plush dog with bunny ears was $1.00. I picked these up to use next year with the grandchildren’s Easter baskets. Picked up a 4-pack of chocolate eggs with liquid caramel cents for .50 cents, a bag of colorful mini marshmallows for $1.25 and a medium-sized box of Russell Stover cream-filled assorted chocolates on final clearance for $2.50 per box. YUMMY!
Two years ago I replaced all of the hangers in our house with the velvet-flocked hangers to save on closet space and to keep our items from slipping off the hangers and onto the floor. I had previously purchased a well-known name brand and when I bought 175 hangers it cost me close to $100.00. Anyway, I found a 12-pack of almost the identical hangers on final clearance for $2.99. Wowza, what a deal! I purchased 3 packs for our seasonal closet that we have up in the attic.
The BIGGEST deal that I snagged at Big Lots on this particular shopping trip was the Nescafe Classic Coffee Pods for our Keurig machine. You get 12 k-cups per box and on final clearance they were $2.50 per box. Yes, you read that correctly! I purchased 5 boxes because we drink coffee every day!
The women’s striped top that you see in the photo is really cute. I picked that up earlier in the day at a store called Gabe’s. It was regularly priced at $29.99 and I snagged it up for $6.00. I love the longer length and it has short sleeves. Perfect for running around in this summer during the hot and sweaty months.
Well, there you have it! I think I did really well on this shopping trip and snagged some nice deals…especially on the coffee! Have you snagged up any great deals lately? When it comes to bargain shopping, where’s your favorite place to shop?
I love good deals too. I went to Kohl’s and in the clearance section I was able to find several tops for under $4.00 and I had a $5.00 bonus to use. I spent much less than one blouse’s price for all 3 .
I love going to Big Lots and always leave happy. I LOVE the big plush bunny that you got for only $3.00 that was a MEGA score! I will have to go there soon and see what I can find thanks for sharing.
I like Big Lots. It can be hit or miss, lol, but if you get there on a good day you can score big.
I have found some excellent bargains after holidays at KMart and Target. No Big Lots in our area. It is fun to get good deals.
I love getting good deals like that too. I am going to Big Lots today. I hope I get some good deals too. I like the eyelet material on the blouse.
Yes, you got some great deals. I don’t go shopping very often, usually to thrift stores. And no big bargains lately.
