My grandson is fascinated with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just like most little boys and girls his age. He will sit for hours and watch them on TV and play with his Ninja Turtles toys. Those beloved Ninja Turtles have been around for years and kids just love them.

Prince has a birthday coming up and we’ve started preparing a few things for his upcoming party. Okay, I admit, two parties! One party will be for the family and the second party will be for his friends. The “friends” party will be in a fun Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme.
You all know that I love painting on seashells so I decided to whip up a dozen of these hand-painted Ninja Turtles seashells to use a party favors. Once the party is over, the kids can take them home. I made them using 4″ to 5″ wide clam seashells…but if you don’t have access to those…you can certainly do this same design using smooth river rocks.
Painted Ninja Turtles Seashell Party Favors
Large Clam Seashells
Bright Grass Green Craft Paint
Red, Orange, Purple and Blue Craft Paint
Medium-Tip Black Paint Pen
Medium-Tip White Paint Pen
Clear Acrylic Spray Sealer, Glossy Finish
Paint Brush, Water Dish, Paper Towels
Note: There are four different Ninja Turtles, so you’ll need to make at least four different ones and change out the mask colors: Red, Blue, Purple and Orange to represent the different characters.
Base coat the seashell with 2-3 coats of green craft paint. Once dry you’ll want to paint on the mask. The one shown in our photo features a red mask. Paint on a slightly slanted mouth using your white paint pen. Let dry. Use the white paint pen to make 2 football shaped eyes. Use the black paint pen to outline his mouth and to outline the mask. Use blue acrylic craft paint to add color to the eyes, let dry. Once dry use the black paint pain to outline the eyes and to add the pupils. Let dry.
Once all of your seashells have been painted you’ll want to take them outside and spray them with 1-2 coats of clear acrylic spray sealer in a glossy finish. I spray one coat…wait 30 minutes and spray my second coat. Once they’re dry…you’re done!
You can use these fun Ninja Turtles seashells as party favors and set them around on the tables or put them in the kid’s party loot gift bags. I made 12 of them and I think the kids at his Birthday are going to love them!

Oh my gosh that is adorable Shelly! You are so creative!
Those Ninja Turtles have sure made many kids happy for a long time. That is the cutest party favor.
If you think they’re cute…wait until you see what’s posting on Saturday! Oh my gosh…maybe my favorite design yet and very practical for summer.
These are cute. I really like how they are party favors. I bet these get other kids interested in painting the shells!
That is such a cute idea. I can see these happening at one of the girls parties. Thank you for the idea.
I laughed out loud and scared the cat when I saw this one. Very fun.
This one made me smile. My youngest nephew is a big fan of the TMNT. He’d love this idea.
