Family Fun at a Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Game

Our family loves MLB with half of our family being Philadelphia Phillies fans and the other half being New York Yankees fans. Yes…this time of the year can be something depending on what side of the field you want to sit!

Every year we plan a family outing to go see the Philadelphia Phillies play ball and this year is no exception. I enjoy a good game of baseball but to hold my attention, its got to be a decent scoring game. I can’t sit there for 3-4 hours watching strike out after strike out. I want to see the home runs and the players running around the bases. Yes, action and a lot of it!

The kids in the family enjoy going and seeing the Phillies Phanatic Mascot. They’re big fans of eating hot dogs and popcorn while we’re there. Which reminds me…Why in the world does food and beverages cost so much???? Oh my gosh, I don’t know how a family of 4-6 can afford to attend the games!!! Geesh!

How many of you enjoy Major League Baseball or the game of baseball in general? For those of you who do…who’s your favorite team? Do you ever go out to see them play? Do you have a favorite all-time player? How long have you been a fan? Tell me all about it in our blog’s comment form below.

My family has always love baseball, especially the NY Yankees. Unfortunately most major ball parks are very expensive.

  2. When I was growing up we drove 50 miles to Denver to see the Denver Bears play baseball. We’d make a whole day out of it and stop at an Italian place for dinner afterwords.

I love baseball games! They are so much fun and the quintessential American Sport. Also, gotta have a hot dog while at the game.

I like baseball games if I’m actually there. Watching on TV, well, it just gets boring because baseball can be a very slow thing, lol.

  5. We don’t have any teams in our area but I sure would love to go to a game. I went to a Dodger’s game a million years ago and that was fun. I remember how expensive it was back then I can’t imagine how much it is now.

  6. We usually go to at least one game during the season. We like the Seattle Mariners but wish their team was better. I agree the food prices are ridiculously high.

When we lived in Atlanta, we loved to go to the ball park there. There were so many things to see and do there. It is a fond memory.
