Title: Clay Play! 24 Whimsical Projects
Author: Terry Taylor
Publisher: Dover Publications
ISBN: 9780486779843
If you’ve been following this blog for the past 10 years you’ll already know that I love arts and crafts! I love them so much that I have an entire room in my home devoted to them. I enjoy scrapbooking, cardmaking, decorative painting, beading, crochet, knitting, jewelry-making, quilting, sewing, etc. You name it, I enjoy it. (Check out the adorable ladybug that the Princess made for me. I’m going to glue it onto one of my flower pots).
With that said, I’ve never tried my hand at clay making and have been wanting to try it for years! The Clay Play! Jewelry by author Terry Taylor is the perfect book for beginners through experienced. Inside the book you’ll find over 40 awesome projects to get you started. Even though the book is geared towards jewelry making, you could use your newly created “clay items” for other things too! Think Christmas ornaments, package tie-on’s, refrigerator magnets, key chain adornments, hair accessories, etc.
If you’re new to jewelry making and/or working with clay…you’ll find a nice section in the beginning of the book that teaches you the basics…along with supplies you’ll need and some techniques that you’ll use. The author does a GREAT job at laying it all out in an easy-to-understand format. I think the book is fabulous for older children and for adults who are looking to make some adorable jewelry items or accessories.
