As a mom to two young children I’m always looking for quality movies to sit down and watch with my children. We watch a lot of animated classics but to be frank with you, we’re getting tired of them. Both of my kids are moving beyond the animated films and are looking for something different. You know, a film that the entire family will enjoy, including the adults.

Recently we received The Adventures of Jurassic Pet movie to review for you and BOTH of my children loved it. I admit, Big E and I enjoyed watching it too. Here’s some information about the film.
An adventurous teenager summons the courage to help a friendly dinosaur escape from the clutches of a mad scientist in The Adventures of Jurassic Pet, arriving on DVD, Digital, and On Demand April 16th, 2019 from Lionsgate. David Fletcher-Hall, Kyler Beck, and Ben Hall star in this live-action adventure “that the entire family will enjoy” (The Dove Foundation) and has been awarded the Dove Seal of Approval for all ages. .
Check out the official movie trailer below. I think your family is going to love this new film. It’s rated PG for the mild action content with an approximate run time of 85 minutes.
Movie Synopsis: In this thrilling family adventure, a teen boy adopts and hatches a baby T. rex, but then must rescue the creature from a mad scientist who wants to clone a whole new breed of dinosaurs.
Along with the complimentary DVD my children received a few movie theme’d goodies. My son quickly snagged the Jurassic Pet backpack, a package of the gummy candies and 2 of the dinosaur egg. My daughter was pleased to get a package of the candies and 2 of the dinosaur eggs for herself. My son can be greedy at times!
From start to finish the movie is entertaining and is well-acted. Every time you watch it you will see or hear something new. I really feel its age appropriate for everyone. My son is 3 1/2, my daughter is almost 10 and I’m in my 30’s. All of us enjoyed watching the film.
