To me, tahini has always been an essential ingredient when I make hummus, but I never explored tahini’s potential beyond that. However, Mighty Sesame Co. Fine Sesame Tahini in its convenient squeezable bottle has opened my eyes to a whole world of new tahini possibilities!

With only one ingredient—sesame seeds—Mighty Sesame’s tahini is as pure as it can be. The company says it better than I can, though: “Made from 100% slow-roasted sesame seeds, this healthful condiment is at home in everything from dips, marinades, and salads to soups, desserts, and as a straight-from-the-bottle drizzle over meat, fish, and falafel. It’s organic, vegan, gluten- and dairy-free, kosher, halal, and Keto-friendly—the perfect way to add flavor to any diet with just one ingredient.”
I have to agree. I’ve found that Mighty Sesame’s earthy but bright flavor and its convenient squeeze bottle makes tahini an amazing condiment, easy to add to just about anything. I first tried it on falafel, with a squeeze across the top and a good dollop on the side for dipping, and it took my falafel over the top.
Of course, Mighty Sesame Co. Fine Sesame Tahini also is a delicious ingredient in cooking and baking, as I discovered when I used it in a batch of tahini crackers. So good! And the squeeze bottle makes measuring it a breeze. After browsing the recipe section of Mighty Sesame’s website, I found lots of inspiration beyond the usual hummus, too.
Here’s an interesting thing I learned: Just as there are people who are expert in wines, Mighty Sesame Co. has sesame-seed experts called “sesamiliers” who ensure the high quality their products. In fact, they say that “The palate of an experienced sesamilier can recognize the variety, production method, and suggest improvements to a recipe simply by taste.” And like the grapes used to produce wine, the sesame seeds used in Mighty Sesame Co. products are carefully managed through all phases of production, from the choice of seed varieties to growing and harvesting to storing, peeling, roasting, and grinding.
Although Mighty Seed Co. products are not widely available across the country, the website’s store locator shows that they can be found at retailers in the Northeast and in Los Angeles. However, the good news is that Mighty Sesame is readily available online for the rest of us!
