Hoppity Poppity Popcorn Easter Eggs

April 13, 2019 by Jenelle

How many of you are hosting an Easter get-together at your home this year? Looking for a homemade treat to serve to your party guests? If so, you’re going to love these adorable Easter Eggs made from popped popcorn! I think they’re adorable and I plan on whipping up a batch of them for my daughter’s upcoming scout’s holiday party. I think the girls will love them!

Today’s guest-post recipe is courtesy of Popcorn.org. You can visit their website to find all kinds of different recipes that utilize popcorn! This recipe will make approximately 16 eggs.

10 cups freshly popped popcorn
1 cup pastel colored jelly beans
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 package (10 1/2 oz.) miniature marshmallows
1 package (3 oz.) blueberry, strawberry or lemon gelatin

Combine popcorn and jelly beans in large bowl; set aside.

Microwave butter and marshmallows in large glass bowl on HIGH for 2 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed. Stir in gelatin. Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn and jelly beans. Mix lightly until coated.

Shape into 16 (2-inch) eggs with greased hands. Set aside so that they firm up. Store them in an airtight container.
