Top Beauty Trends for 2019

March 29, 2019 by Carol

Top Beauty Trends for 2019When it comes to fast-evolving industries that always seem to be discovering new ingredients and products, the beauty industry has got to be near the top of the list. The global cosmetics industry seems to always be growing. In fact, it is expected to be worth an unbelievable US$805.61 billion by 2023. With all the growth, it can be hard for people to stay on top of the latest trends, products, and ingredients, as there always seems to be something new.

To help keep you in the loop of all things beauty-related, here’s a look at some of the top beauty trends for 2019.

CBD Oil

Here’s a trend that is popping up in all kinds of beauty products, offering all kinds of different benefits and results. CBD oil is helping to take the entire “Clean Beauty” trend one step further. Made from the oil extracted from hemp seeds, CDB oil has shown to be helpful in decreasing the look of fine lines and wrinkles, helping to hydrate skin, easing the symptoms of eczema, and even helping to clear up acne.

Thanks to the fact that farming hemp seeds has now stepped out of the gray area and into legal territory (as long as it’s registered), the ingredient is also becoming more readily available. Farmers can actually buy bulk CBD seeds and start their own farm for under $100 per acre.

Sustainable Products

Another trend is the use of sustainable products with less packaging being used. The idea is to leave less of an environmental footprint, not reach for the harsh chemicals and dyes, and instead turn to natural ingredients in their solid form. Take solid-form organic all-natural shampoo bars as an example. Not only are they leaving less of a footprint, but they are incredibly safe and gentle on the hair.

Healthy Glowing Skin

If you’re the type that often reaches for the full-coverage concealer, foundation, and powder, it’s time to give those products a rest and let your true beauty shine. This year is all about healthy glowing skin that looks natural. Products such as tinted moisturizers, CC and BB creams with much lighter coverage are among the most popular options.

Glossy Makeup

This particular trend works well with healthy skin and less coverage. Glossy makeup is a makeup that leaves a glossy finish. Eye gloss, lip gloss, and even glossy cheeks are all showing up on runways and in the fashion magazines. So, this means it’s time to put all your matte makeup aside and start reaching for the shiny, glossy items.

A Pop of Bold Color

Here’s a trend that is relatively easy to incorporate into your current makeup style. A pop of bold color is where it’s at for spring and summer. This can be done with a bold bright lip, a fun bright eyeliner, or even a colored mascara.

Fabulous Trends to Embrace

So, whether you choose to just embrace one trend or a handful, each of these are promising to be big in 2019.

This was fun to read and I learned a lot. I had no idea what the latest trends were and I would like to try several of these.

I like the pop of bold color trend. I’m not sure about bold lipstick or colored mascara(I remember colored mascara in the 80’s!) but I do like bold eyeshadow.

Thank you for the information. I am not sure about that Glossy Makeup though, goes against all I thought.
