A heating pad has been in my life for the past 15+ years and I’ve used a lot of different brands and pads over those years. Some have worked really well and others…well, not-so-much. I once spent $75 on one that was supposed to be a top-of-the-line model and it ended up being a total piece of junk. Let’s just say I know heating pads…inside and out!
For the past 3 years I’ve been exclusively using Sunbeam electric heating pads and last month I decided to replace my old one with a new and improved model. I purchased the Sunbeam King-Size MicroPlush Electric Heating Pad from Amazon and got it for a great price!
I suffer with a lot of lower back pain, abdominal pain, hip pain and leg pain from a genetic disease that I suffer with…along with having 51 surgeries. Yes, you read that correctly. This is why I am on disability and retired from the workforce. I suffer with chronic pain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. No kidding, I never get a day off.
One of the things I like about this heating pad is that its a king-size pad that will give me great coverage across my back, around my hip or around my belly. Second, I like that it has an automatic 2 hour shutoff. If I leave the house and forget to turn it off, it will auto shutoff. If I fall asleep with it on…it will auto shutoff 2 hours later. I consider that to be an important safety feature to have.
Next, it doesn’t have one of those removable covers that always come unsnapped and messed up. The pad is covered in a velvety-soft micro-plush and yes…you can toss it into the washing machine to clean it. Just unplug it from the electrical cord and machine wash on delicate cycle. There are 4 heat settings for you to choose from: Warm, Low, Medium and High. I only use the warm setting and get plenty of heat from that! Its really easy to use!!!
If it has been a few years since you’ve purchased a new heating pad…now is the time to do so! Just like everyone else…they need to be replaced every few years. Technology changes, safety features change and so forth. Never used a super-old heating paid and ALWAYS keep them updated every few years or so. If you’re in the market for a new one, I highly recommend the Sunbeam King-Size MicroPlush Electric Heating Pad.

I like the king sized pad and the fact that it is washable.
I sure could use this and I love that it is a king-size pad. I would like to use this on my back and that price is pretty good thanks for sharing this one.
I love that its 100% machine washable too! I just unplug the cord from the pad and toss it into my washer on the delicate cycle and air dry.
