My Thoughts: I’m a big-time crafter and dabble in all kinds of different crafting mediums. I enjoy putting together my own color combinations and sometimes they look beautiful and sometimes not-so-much. Thanks to this book I’ve been learning a lot about color mixing and can apply what I’ve been learning to painting, collage, mixed media and more. Heck, I can take some of what I learned and apply it to home decorating too!

The author Josie Lewis did a really nice job of breaking down color mixing into a language that anyone can understand, including beginners like me. The book is jam-packed with helpful information and how-to’s from cover to cover. One of the things that I really like is that she includes FREE templates in the back of the book that you can use right away to get started. You can use those templates for painting your own color patterns. Not into painting? Don’t worry, you can use those templates with colored pencils, watercolor pencils and glitter gel ink pens too!
