7 Date Night Must-Haves for the Babysitter

When you become a parent life becomes busy and often times the relationship with your spouse falls to the wayside. Its important that you remember to take time out for yourself and your spouse by regularly scheduling in “date nights”. These dates don’t have to occur weekly or even bi-monthly, but I do recommend that you try to do it at least once a month.

My husband and I look forward to our date nights which usually involves dinner out and then some kind of activity like going to the movies, bowling, concert, etc. On average we spend 3-4 hours on our date to reconnect and to enjoy one another’s company.

Before heading out the door for date night I like to make sure I have everything that our babysitter will need. Here are the Must-Haves that should be on your list.

Emergency Contact List
We make sure that our sitter knows where we will be and when to expect us back. On our emergency list we include our phone numbers, our parents phone numbers, the kid’s doctor’s information, preferred hospital, police department, fire company, 911, etc. We keep this on a laminated card attached to the front of our refrigerator.
