Love popcorn but getting tired of the same old, same old flavors? Enjoy coconut and chocolate? If so, you’re going to love this recipe that combines popcorn, coconut and semi-sweet chocolate all together into one delicious treat!
Today’s guest post recipe is courtesy of popcorn.org and will yield approximately 10 cups. You’ll need just a few basic ingredients to make it.
Toasted Coconut and Chocolate Popcorn Recipe
10 cups popped popcorn
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract (optional)
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
7 ounce bag shredded coconut, toasted
Place popcorn in large bowl; set aside. In small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and coconut extract; stir until melted and combined.
Pour over popcorn, coating well. Spread popcorn onto large cookie sheet. In glass measuring cup, melt chocolate chips and vegetable oil in microwave on low heat until smooth. Drizzle over popcorn. Immediately sprinkle coconut over popcorn mixture; cool.
Break into pieces and serve.

Oh my goodness..this sounds delicious. Popcorn is one of those All American snacks. It is a blank canvas and takes on any flavors added. I have never had coconut and popcorn together, but it sounds delicious.
