Family Fun Date: The Meadows Frozen Custard Shop and Mini Golf

January 2, 2019 by Shelly

The Meadows Frozen Custard Shop and Mini Golf in Harrisburg PennsylvaniaHow many of you plan regular family fun dates? As a family we like to get together twice a month and go out for some family fun. During the summertime when the weather is nicer, we tend to get together more often.

A few months ago we went out to The Meadows Original Frozen Custard Shop in Harrisburg and had a lot of fun playing miniature golf. On their property they have a frozen custard shop, a mini golf course, baseball & softball batting cages and an indoor video arcade.

On the day that we visited we enjoyed a round of mini golf which included 18-holes with fun water obstacles and features. The course is handicap accessible and is beautifully landscaped. In my honest opinion, it’s the nicest miniature golf course in the city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Our family spent a good 90 minutes playing mini golf and we had PERFECT weather that afternoon. Blue skies, sunshine and the temperatures were around 80 degrees with low humidity. Just perfect, we couldn’t of asked for better weather.

After playing miniature golf the family headed inside to The Meadows Original Frozen Custard Shop. You’ll find an extensive frozen treats menu to choose from various flavors of cones, sundaes, shakes, gelati, frosts, arctic frosts and Italian ice. My personal favorite is a Brownie Blackout…oh my gosh, so good!!! They really have a lot to choose from and we all found something delicious to enjoy.

How many of you get together regularly with your family and go out to do something fun? We try to get together twice a month, especially during the summertime. We enjoy visiting amusement parks, beaches, going hiking, playing mini golf, visiting museums, zoos, wildlife animal parks, etc. What kind activities do you enjoy doing as a family?

We do try to do fun things together. Sometimes it is just going to the movies, but we love going to museums and finding new parks and hiking trails too.

This looks like such a fun mini golf place. I think mini golf is a perfect family adventure but we only have 1 place near us and it is not anywhere near as neat as the one you went to.

When I was a kid, my family played mini golf a lot. It was called putt putt golf around here, lol. It was a lot of fun.

That looks like so much fun. I have not gone to mini golf in years. The Frozen Custard sounds good too even though it is not hot weather. thank you for the post.
