The Star Wars Collectible Felt Characters Craft Kit
If you’ve been following this blog for the past few years, you’ll already know that I love to craft! I enjoy all kinds of different crafting mediums and really enjoy scrapbooking, cardmaking, crochet, cross-stitch and felting. While I do many different mediums, those tend to be some of my favorites.

In January 2017 I published a review on the Star Wars Collectible Felt Characters Craft Kit and our readers loved that review. Matter of fact, that post ranks in the TOP 50 most highly viewed posts here on the blog. That doesn’t count all of the pins over on Pinterest too!
After I had published my review I ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks. Since that time I had 4 major surgeries. As you can imagine, a lot of my crafting was put on hold to take care of medical issues. However, as I was recovering I found that felt and needlework crafts were a great way to pass the time.
Today I wanted to give our readers an update and show you some of the additional Star Wars Felt Characters that I’ve completed since the original review. In total the kit makes 10 characters. The instructions, how-to book and templates are all reusable, so once you run out of the initial craft felt and floss…just go out to your local craft store to buy more supplies. You can make oodles and oodles of them!
I’ve been working on completing the entire set of 10 Star Wars characters for my husband, the big collector and I’ve been making a few duplicates for my 3 1/2 year old grandson who is just now getting into it. One day when he’s older I’m sure my husband will be passing off his 500+ items collection to him!
So far I’ve completed a few of the following characters:
Ewok
Hans Solo
Luke Skywalker
Princess Leia
Yoda
C3PO
Darth Vadar
Chewbacca
All of these felt characters are hand sewn together. You’re basically layering felt pieces upon felt pieces and doing the hand stitching. You then stuff them with just a tad of fiberfill and sew them shut. You can use them as play characters or add a hanging string and turn them into Christmas ornaments. Entirely up to you!
The Star Wars Felt Character Craft Kit is by ThunderBayBooks and you can check out their website for additional books and craft kits that they offer. Love Star Wars? They offer a crochet kit too!
I wanted to give you all an official update, so I decided to just make a new post (the one today) and link back to my original review. If you’re interested in making them…you can pick up the kit directly from Amazon for a really great price. If you get it now, you can work on the characters throughout the year and have them ready to “give” during the next holiday season. They’re fun and easy to make!
