In this family adventure starring Lola Sultan and Kevin Sorbo, two siblings befriend a dolphin and devise a clever plan to save the beach and protect sea life, including their new dolphin friend, Bernie. Also starring Patrick Muldoon and Logan Allen, the film is approved by the Dove Foundation for all ages, and “shows a lot of heart” (The Dove Foundation).

The Bernie the Dolphin DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $14.98 and includes a behind-the-scenes featurette.

Movie Synopsis: Kevin and Holly love splashing and playing with their dolphin friend Bernie and his family. But when Bernie goes missing, the kids go looking for him. While searching, they discover a real-estate development plan that threatens the baby sea turtles on their favorite beach. Can the brave duo stop the developers while racing to reunite Bernie with his loved ones?

Our Thoughts: As a family we spend a lot of time at the beach 6-7 months out of the year. We’re fortunate that we live only 3 1/2 hours from the Atlantic coast and take our grandchildren down to the beach house with us several times a year. We’re beach lovers and that includes loving the marine life that lives there.

Twice a month we invite our grandchildren over to our home for a movie and/or play date with us. Last weekend we sat down with them to watch Bernie the Dolphin and they loved it! Even though its not an animated film it still held the attention of my 3 1/2 year old grandson. My 9 1/2 year old granddaughter is sick & tired of animated films, so this movie was right up her alley. Finally, a non-animated flick that our entire family could enjoy!!!

The movie has a really entertaining story line and was well-acted. The characters draw you into the story a few minutes into the movie. There are enough twist & turns to keep you engaged and entertained. We don’t give out “spoilers” here on the blog, but we will tell you that the story ends in a manner that will bring a smile to your face!

    I don’t watch a lot of movies get bored with them. BUT if I am watching with my great niece Zadaya (2) we watch Disney movies.
