Last summer my 9 year old granddaughter attended a few of the kid’s craft classes at A. C. Moore’s, a craft supply store in our area. At one of the classes the kids made these adorable Safari Animal Wreath’s and we just loved them. Matter of fact, we went back to the store a week later and bought the supplies to make a few more.

Kid’s Craft Project: Safari Animal Wreath
6″ Diameter Foam Wreath
Pack of Animal Print Chenille Stems
Pack of Light Green Chenille Stems
Pack of Safari Animal Foam Stickers
10″ Long String for Hanging
Scissors
Wrap each of the pipe cleaners around the foam wreath. You’ll want to wrap them tightly together, so that the wreath doesn’t show from underneath. You’ll want to work around the wreath until it has been completely covered.
Once the wreath is cover…stick the safari animal stickers onto the front. These are medium-sized stickers made from craft foam. The ones that she used in her project feature a monkey, lion, tiger, zebra and an elephant. She really could of used a 6th sticker since she placed them pretty close together. You can space them out. Cut the piece of strip and tie it around the top to form a hanging loop. That’s it, you’re done!
Like I previously stated…after the Princess had made one of the wreaths, she wanted to make a few more to give to her friends. All of the supplies are available at your local A.C. Moore’s craft store.

I do like this craft. I think i would like to try to make it with my 3 year old twin grandsons.
This craft is just so cute. One of these would make a nice baby shower gift!
This would make a good craft to do with the grandchildren. Its so cute.
This is such a cute craft for the little ones. Children are so imaginative and this I’d a great way for them to use that talent.
What a unique project. I can see why your granddaughter would want to make more to give to friends. They are really cute.
These are really cute. I could see making a bigger one for a baby’s bedroom, too. How sweet.
I think my kids would enjoy picking out their own colors and themes. It would be an easy Sunday school craft too if you changed it to go with your lesson. I’m in Sunday School mode this morning!
This is perfect for little girls to make. We can change it for the seasons and celebrations. I love it. Thank you so much for the idea.
I didnt eve know they had animal print chenille! How cute! It seems your grand daughters has caught the crafting bug, which is a good thing. She will never get bored, and this is something you both enjoy. Tell her this is darling.
