This year the big game (the Super Bowl) will be held on Sunday, February 3rd, 2019. Fans of NFL football have been counting down the months, weeks and days and now the time is almost here! That’s right, we’re all getting ready to party!
Every year my husband hosts a party at our home for friends & family members. We provide about 70% of the food and guests will bring along finger foods, appetizers and drinks. We like to serve chicken wings, pizza, hot dogs and burgers along with all kinds of different sides.
The gang will all gather in our family room & game room to enjoy the festivities and the game. I don’t go out of my way to decorate in a football theme, as I feel its more important to spend my time & money on the food! How about you? Do you decorate for the big day or just concentrate on the food?
A lot of our friends have young children, so I always hire a teenager or two to watch over the kids. I will set up the playroom with toys, games and activities to keep the kids busy, while the teen babysitters monitor and help out. This allows the adults the freedom to enjoy the game, while still having the kids nearby.
Do you have any plans for Super Bowl Sunday? Will you be watching the game at home or heading out to see it? What is your favorite food to enjoy during the big game? Which team will you be cheering on?

I have never hosted because most of our friends are not that interested in the Super Bowl. I think that you have planned your event perfectly with both the food and the room preparations. It is great that you can hire teenagers to watch the younger kids.
Football? I wonder what movie would be good to see on Sunday? Not my cup of tea (or beer, or wings) Great idea for you to hire a couple of teens to watch the kids.
We are big sport fans and live for Superbowl Sunday! Love your idea of hiring a teenager to watch over the kids while they are in the same house; really good idea.
I’m not a big football fan. If I watch the Super Bowl at all, it’s to see a few of the commercials. If I go to a Super Bowl party, it’s for the food, lol.
I used to love Superbowl Sunday but haven’t really been into it the last several years. I like watching the commercials thought some of them are funny.
(Getting Ready for Super Bowl Sunday) We are going low key here this year for the Super Bowl game. Are area has just had way too much snow and bitter cold temps in the last three weeks to really have or attend a football event.
I don’t host any parties. We are just not into the Superbowl too much. I used to watch for the commercials but if you can see them before hand…. what is the use for me to watch now? I hope all of you that do watch, have fun and enjoy.
We have hosted in the past and the last time it snowed 2 feet! Lately we have been going to sport bars that have good specials for the game and everyone meets here. Your get together sounds fun.
