Fun Day Spent at Hersheypark in Hershey Pennsylvania

January 16, 2019 by Shelly

Hersheypark in Hershey PennsylvaniaEvery year we get our grandchildren a season pass to Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania for Christmas. Hersheypark is the largest amusement park in central Pennsylvania and attracts thousands, upon thousands of visitors every year. I can remember visiting the park as a child and over the years, it has gotten bigger and better!

We try to take the grandchildren to the park ourselves once during the summertime months and then their parents take them throughout the summer season. This arrangement works out well for us, since we’re older and I can’t get on any rides. My husband gets on some of them with the kids.

Admission price is quite pricey, so I recommend looking for discount tickets online, using coupons that you can find around the local area or investing in season passes if you plan on going more than once a year. Those season passes are usually good for their Christmas events during the holiday season too.

Typically we will spend a good 6 hours at the park when we go. We like to visiting during a weekday when its less crowded and arrive around 11 AM in the morning and leave around dinnertime. If you go during the weekend and the weather is nice you can expect large crowds and long lines to get onto the rides.

Throughout this post you will see a few photos that we took last summer 2018 of our visit to Hersheypark. It was really hot that day (temperatures in the 90’s) but we all still had a great time. After we left the park we headed to a nearby restaurant to finish up our family day together. What a great way to have some fun and to spend time together!

Have any of you every visited Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania? If so, what was your favorite ride to get on? Did you enjoy your visit to the amusement park?

This looks like a fun time. I have always wanted to go to Hersheypark, and maybe I shall take my grandchildren there in a few years.

I have never been but it looks like it would be a lot of fun. I think I would mainly enjoy all the chocolate myself 🙂

I know those tickets are pricey. The ones at Disney just went up again. I really don’t understand how people can take a family down there for a week. I am glad you can get the season passes. I hope they have fun.

I love Hershey Park and spent a lot of time there when my girls were young. I never got sick of chocolate world either! So far my grandson is not a big ride child but he’s still young.
