Star Wars Origami Book with 60 Pages of Origami Paper

December 4, 2018 by Shelly

Star Wars Origami Book with 60 Pages of Origami PaperMy husband is a huge Star Wars fan. He’s been collecting Star Wars books, games, puzzles, action figures, home decor and collectibles since the mid-to-late 1980’s and has over 500+ items in his collection. Every time a new movie is released he sees it on opening night and then a hundred times thereafter. He probably knows every word to every movie and then some!

Recently we received the brand new Star Wars Origami Book to review for all of you and let me tell you, he was BEYOND excited about it. The concept, models and photography in the book is by Karol Kafarski. ISBN: 9780760361979.

Star Wars Origami Book with 60 Pages of Origami Paper

Synopsis: The ancient art of origami requires concentration and meticulousness worth of Jedi training. This book features 10 beautiful origami models, step-by-step instructions, as well as pre-printed paper to give life to the most fantastic Star Wars ships and the adorable BB-8. So hop on Poe Dameron’s X-Wing, the legendary Millennium Falcon, or the gigantic Star Destroyer. May the Force (and Folds) be with You!

This is a large soft-cover book and inside you’ll find the step-by-step Origami instructions to make the following projects:

Star Wars Origami Book with 60 Pages of Origami Paper

BB-8
Command Shuttle
The Finalizer
Rey’s Speeder
TIE/SF Fighter
X-wing T-70
Luggabeast
Stormtrooper Transporter
Resistance Transporter
Millennium Falcon

Plus…you’ll find 60 pages of included Origami paper!!!

As soon as hubby received the book he couldn’t wait to get started. If you’re new to Origami you’ll want to read through the symbols and techniques chapter at the beginning of the book. Once you do…you’ll be ready to move on to your very first project.

Star Wars Origami Book with 60 Pages of Origami Paper

He’s currently working on the BB-8 and once he gets it done I’ll update my post with a photograph of the completed model. He works long hours at work, so it will be 2-3 weeks until the post is updated. In the meantime he said that even if you’re new to Origami, you’ll be able to do these projects. He also recommends that you make them in the order that they’re given in the book. In other words, the first few are easier to make and then you’ll build upon your folding skills as you go along. Next, he recommends that you purchase a small pair of scissors that are very sharp…preferably scissors that are designed to be used for paper. Other than that, you won’t need any additional supplies.

If you have a Star Wars fan or Origami fan in your life this book would make a great holiday gift! Now that winter is here and we’ll all be spending more time stuck indoors…origami is a great way to pass the time!!!
