The 360 lace frontal is a popular hair extension that has been trending for a while now. Surprisingly, a lot of ladies still don’t know how to install them properly. If you have had a problem with installing you 360 lace frontal wig, the following is a guide to help you do it effortlessly.
What you need
Before you begin installing your wig, ensure that you have the following items with you:
360 lace frontal with bundles
Wig cap
C-curve needle and thread
Bonding glue
Scissors
Styling products and tools
How to install the wig
With the following items, you are ready to install your wig.
Step 1: You can start with customizing your wig by plucking a few hairs from its hairline. Also, you need to make sure that the lace matches your skin tone and if it doesn’t, bleach the knots to get it to match your skin tone. After preparing your wig, cut off any excess lace around its circumference.
Step 2: By the time you are customizing your wig, you should have washed, conditioned, dried, and trimmed your natural hair if need be. The hair should be plaited or braided backwards to lay it flat on your head, and the flatter your head is the better you will look with your wig on.
Step 3: Proceed to put on your wig cap and sew it to secure it on your head. Use your scissors to cut off any excess parts from the top of your wig cap.
Step 4: Place your 360 lace frontal wig in place along your hairline then pin the hair up. Sew the hair down to your wig cap and if you had used two wig caps then sew it on the to cap.
Step 5: After sewing your wig, you can begin gluing the wefts from behind to the front. Preparation can be done by spraying hairspray on them before gluing. Using the hairspray is, however, not a necessary step. Note: Before gluing, you can first measure the track to make sure it properly fits your head.
Step 6: Once you have sewn and glued your wig properly on your head, you can proceed to cut any lace hanging from the hairline. The final step is to secure your frontal using either a styling gel or an adhesive.
Important: Following the above steps will help you install your 360 lace wig without a problem. It is however important to note that the glue can get itchy and should be retouched after a two-week period of time. Also, the adhesive stays intact for a maximum of 4 to 5 days, meaning it requires frequent maintenance to keep your frontal well-secured.
Wrap up
Installing 360 lace frontal wigs is not as challenging as most ladies find it to be. Having the right tools and products, and knowing the right thing to do will help you to properly install it. What’s more, if maintained well, the wig can last you for a long time.
