How many of you have jumped onto the newest arts & crafts craze called Scratch & Create? I was introduced to it back in February when I reviewed the Scratch & Create: Amazing Endangered Animals Book. My entire family enjoyed that book including my 9 1/2 year old granddaughter. These books are for all ages and all skill levels.

Let me introduce you to the newest title called Scratch & Create Folk Art Flowers. With this one you will reveal amazing, full-color artwork by meticulously scratching away a dark, metallic coating with a special stylus (included). Inside the book you’ll find 20 original art postcards which you can hang on the fridge, frame & display, or send them in the mail to loved ones. All of the artwork is by Chilean illustrator Maya Hanisch.

One of the things I love about this particular Scratch & Create is that its a smaller size, postcard size, so that you can take it along with you. It’s the perfect take-along when traveling, sitting in the doctor’s office waiting room, etc. The perfect activity to do while trying to relax in the evening while watching TV or before heading to bed. It also makes the perfect gift to give!!!

Just like the first one that I reviewed…I love the artwork that you’ll create as you scratch off the metallic coating with the included stylus. You don’t need any skill level to do these projects and if you enjoy adult coloring books, I think you’ll enjoy this new medium too! It’s nice for a change-off.
