Normally my mom does our weekly travel feature but this time around, I get to share a few photographs with all of you from our trip to Las Vegas, Nevada.
My husband and I took a 4 night and 5 day trip to Vegas a couple of months ago and had a great time. It was our first time ever visiting the west coast and definitely our first trip to Vegas. We hope to visit again soon.
Vegas reminds me a lot like New York City and Atlantic City in New Jersey, perhaps the two of them together. There are thousands of people out walking around, 24 hours a day. Its a city that never sleeps and something is always going on.
As you walk around the downtown area you’ll see a lot of lights and neon signs. Every business, hotel, shop and eatery on the Vegas Strip is trying to nab your attention and pull you into their direction. The streets are busy and congested, so if you don’t like large crowds, this probably isn’t the place for you.
We found everything to be quite expensive, but then again, it’s a tourist destination and visitors are coming to have fun and to spend money. If you plan on seeing any of the shows, I suggest you make reservations ahead of time. Many of the shows that we were interested in were sold out, which was disappointing to us.

Las Vegas is a fun place to visit for a short time. There is a little bit of everything there.
I’ve been to Vegas a few times over the years. Its a great place. If there is a show you really want to see you do have to book it ahead. In some cases quite a bit ahead so as soon as you know you are going look at the schedule of events.
I like to go to Las Vegas for a short trip and see some shows and get some much needed sunshine. Also Red Rocks near there is a good place to hike.
I have never been to Vegas! It looks pretty cool! 🙂
My son lives in Las Vegas. I was surprised that the residents rarely go to the shows and do all the tourist things. I hope it was a good trip.
I’m sorry, but Las Vegas is not on the west coast. It’s in the middle of the desert. It can be a fun place to visit. I like the shows they put on.
