It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a fun, frugal finds post, so today’s the day that I show you the bargains that I recently picked up. On this particular shopping trip I went into one of our local home decor stores to pick up something that I needed for the holidays. When I got there they were sold out (an advertised special), but I found some other great deals!
When I buy home decor items or holiday items I will typically only buy them when on clearance and especially after a particular season or holiday has ended. That is when you find the BEST deals! Advertised specials are nice, but if you’re frugal, you’ll go after those clearance deals first.
On this particular shopping trip I got several items and since I decorate my home in a coastal and beach style, I was really happy with what I snagged!
The Beach House wooden sign is really large is size, about 2 feet wide and accented with real rope, a starfish and seashell. It was regularly priced at $29.99 and I got it for $5.00. The coastal-style pumpkins are super cute! I love that they’re white and have driftwood looking stems. Each one was regular priced at $18.95 and I got them for $8.99 each. Then I found these 3 white porcelain cabinet knobs with silver metal accents. They were originally priced at $7.99 each and I got them for $1.00 each.
Okay…besides getting those awesome clearance prices I used a 20% off coupon which brought those prices down even more! I love when stores allow us to use coupons on clearance items too. My items came to $26.00 before the coupon and then I got 20% off that amount. Wow! I got all of those items for less than the regular price of that Beach House wall sign. Now that’s what I call bargain shopping!

On my limited budget, I am always looking for bargains when I do shop. My best money savings tip is for me to stay home (and off the computer).
Really great bargains Shelly! I like that you found sale items and then had a coupon on top of that. I enjoy shopping at Publix as every Wednesday they come out iwth their BOGOs for the week. When I see an item that we use frequently, I make a point to load up! If there is a limit to the number of items, I purchase the max number and then I just go to a different nearby Publix and also get the max number of items from that store too!
