When it comes to flashlights, lanterns and emergency lighting products, Dorcy is my husband’s favorite go-to brand. He’s been buying Dorcy products for over 10+ years, even before we started reviewing and featuring them here on the blog. In his opinion, they have the BEST flashlights and lanterns out in the retail marketplace. He recommends them to everyone, including his employees!

For this review he received the DieHard Twist Focus Light 1700 Lumens Flashlight to review for all of you. This flashlight is the perfect one for household or professional work use. It’s impact and water resistant and the perfect size to fit within your tool box, tool belt, glove compartment in the car, drawer at home, backpack, etc.
The DieHard 1700 Luments Flashlight comes with 6 AA Batteries so you can use it immediately out of the package. It’s a heavy-duty flashlight that’s made out of anodized aluminum, so it’s meant to be used and meant to be used daily! If you’re looking for an easy-to-use flashlight, this one is it! The tail cap contains the on/off switch and then there is a twisting function to change the function from spot light to flood light.
Product Features:
1700 Lumens
2 Hour 15 Minute Runtime
266m Light Distance
Water Resistant
Batteries Included
This DieHard 1700 Lumens Flashlight is my husband’s go-to flashlight. He uses it all over the inside and outside of our home when working on projects. A few days ago he was up on the roof fixing some shingles and the flashlight rolled down and hit the ground. It’s still in perfect running condition. This flashlight is meant to be used, not sitting around in your junk drawer. It’s built to last you a very long time!
He loves how easy it is to use. He just gives it a twist and he can zoom in and out the amount of light that he needs. The 1700 Lumens light is bright enough to light up 1/2 of our front yard as you can see in my photo. That photo was taken late at night in pitch blackness and you can see individual blades of glass and part of our driveway pavement. Yes, it’s that bright which is perfect for when you need to see at night.
Hubby told me that this is the EXACT type of flashlight that he recommends to all of his HVAC employees. They can use it for any job that they need to tackle and he appreciates that it’s made out of durable anodized aluminum. His techs can be hard on tools & flashlights and this flashlight can stand up to daily use! Buy and use what the professionals use!!!
Head on over to Dorcy to take a look at all of their flashlights, lanterns, glow sticks, head lamps and other lighting products that they have to offer. You’re going to love what you see! I could really use the Ultra HD Series 320 Lumen Headlamp. My whole family each has their own headlamp because we are very rural and there aren’t any streetlights. As soon as you get outside of the pool of light from our outdoor lights it is extremely dark. I like that this headlamp has a strap for the top of your head to keep it from slipping down.

I also like their headlamps. They’re a good idea for those times you need a flashlight but need both your hands for the task at hand.
