Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe

October 16, 2018 by Shelly

A few times every year I like to make Stuffed Green Bell Peppers for my family to enjoy. I will typically make them July through Octobers when my bell peppers are freshly harvested from my backyard garden. If you’ve never had Stuffed Green Peppers before, you can find my original recipe for them right here on the blog.

While we love them…we were getting bored with the same old, same old way of preparing them. I was online a few weeks ago and stumbled upon the Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers Recipe over on the Genius Kitchen website and knew I had to make them.

As a blogger, I don’t believe in “ripping off” other people in regards to their content, so I always give credit where credit is do. With that said, I won’t repeat her recipe on our blog, but you can click over to their website and get it.

We followed the given recipe and ONLY added one addition which was some extra shredded cheese on the top during the last 5 minutes of the baking time. We love cheese and a lot of it!!! My family absolutely LOVED this new take on the classic Stuffed Green Peppers recipe. They ate them all…ALL OF THEM! I will definitely be making them again real soon.

Looking for another fun twist? Check out our recipe for Bell Peppers Stuffed with Tuna Salad and our Unstuffed Green Pepper Soup Recipe made in a slow cooker here on the blog too! Delicious!!!

I have not had stuffed bell peppers in so many years and I really love them. I have never had this recipe and now I must try it. This one sounds like one the entire family will love.

Stuffed peppers are a bit hit for my family. I never thought of trying anything different for the stuffing but this gives me some fun ideas.

I think I will try to make this for my husband. I don’t like bell peppers. But I love finding new things he will eat.

Good for you giving credit where credit is due. I can’t eat peppers, but I do like this stuffing.

Unfortunately in some things my husband has no taste. He hates peppers go figure. BUT I could make a few of these for myself, and put the filling on a bun for him. It would work!
