My 9 year old daughter enjoys activity books and has many of them in her collection. They’re the perfect books for quiet time, for when we’re traveling, or for when we’re just running around town doing errands. She has always enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, word searches, treasure hunts, etc.

With just a pencil and their imagination, readers can decode pirate word scrambles, create their own comic strips, write a hit song for the hedgehog hoedown, and help a little leprechaun find his pot of gold. With more than 400 stickers drawn in Lowery’s iconic style and a pullout poster just waiting to be colored. The book features nearly 100 wacky prompts, games and crafts for kids to do.

I gave this book to my 9 year old daughter about 10 days ago and her nose has been in it ever since. Every night after her homework has been completed, she’s working on pages & projects within this activity book. One of the things she really likes about it is the wide variety of different things for her to do. There are things in this book that you won’t find in other books. It’s really unique and entertaining.
For the activities that are done “outside” the book, your child will simply “punch-out” those pieces, no scissors are needed. I really think you only need to supply a regular pencil and some colored pencils for your child to complete 95% of the activities inside the book. If you don’t have colored pencils, crayons or markers will do.
Your child will adore this book and it will keep them entertained for weeks (not days), but for weeks on end! All of the activities are fun to do, entertaining and educational. If your child enjoys activity books, this is one that I highly recommend that you pick up.
