As a parent I enjoy giving my children new books to read on a monthly basis. My 3 year old son enjoys picture books and my 9 1/2 year old daughter enjoys reading chapter books. Every night before bedtime we sit down as a family and read for 20-30 minutes before heading off to bed.

Recently we received the newly published book titled HOME by author Adam Leitman Bailey. It’s a hardcover book. ISBN: 97809995704-0-1.
Synopsis: HOME takes children on a journey using their own eyes to see the colorful adventures of visiting many different places to live while providing a touching story about the importance of family over all else.
The story is centered around a young boy who ventures off to see the different homes and places where they’re found. He visits a big house with swimming pools, an igloo made out of ice blocks, a farm with farm animals, a mobile home, a bird’s nest and a house on a lake. While visiting he meets children and animals along the way.
Although this young boy found all of these homes to be fun, he realized he missed the small apartment in the big city where he lived. The moral of this story is that home can be many different type’s of dwellings, but home is always where you and your family live.
The story is an easy read for young children and the illustrations throughout the book are adorable, beautifully done. This is one book that BOTH of my children can enjoy…a good combination of a picture book with enough of a story line to interest my 9 1/2 year old.
The holidays are just around the corner and this book would make a nice gift for any child on your holiday gift-giving list.

My grandson would receive this book if I should win. I read to my daughter until she was about 10. She was reading under her level and I would read art her level while she read along. Her teacher suggested it and it worked well. Her older sister said that she enjoyed listening too!
I will give this book to my niece; I use to always read with my kids when they were small.

I enjoy reading to the little ones in the family as often as I can. I like to read fun books everyone seems to love the Cat in The Hat books. If I won this one I would give it to my friend’s little one for Christmas thanks for the chance it looks super cute.
