September means back to school, the end of summer, and the establishing of new routines. This month, Limoneira spokesperson Megan Roosevelt is making the kitchen a less stressful place with healthy, delicious salads that can be made in advance for the whole family – and that pair beautifully with a simple lemon salad dressing. She brings this and other recipes for great fall tips and treats to the Limoneira YouTube channel all month long.

Sesame Cashew Slaw with Lemon Dressing Recipe
2 cups shredded cabbage
1/4 cup diced carrots
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 sliced green onion
1/2 cup cashews
Layer all ingredients in a glass mason jar or bowl with the heaviest ingredient on the bottom and the lightest ingredient on top. Seal jar or place lid on bowl until ready to serve.
Lemon Dressing Recipe
3 tbsp Limoneira lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp tahini
Add all ingredients to a small jar and whisk until smooth. Pour dressing on top of your favorite salad and enjoy.

I love cole slaw and this is a different version that I would love to try.

This looks great. I love cashews but rarely use nuts because my oldest nephew has allergies. He won’t eat slaw, though, so I could make this without fear.
I haven’t had cole slaw in a while and I have never made it myself before. I am so making this lemon dressing I love lemons so much and I know I will like this dressing thank you for sharing this recipe. I have been on a salad kick lately and I can’t wait to try this one.
