Game Day Parties with Mrs. Renfro’s Gourmet Salsas
The football season is upon us and that means we’ll be hosting game viewing parties at our home for the next few months. While some people enjoy the NFL, we’re huge fans of college football. Go Penn State!

When we host parties at our home it’s important that I offer a variety of grab-n-go finger foods for the guys. They want to load up their plates and sit down to enjoy the game. They don’t want anything complicated or fussy. With that said, whatever I’m serving has to taste good! Let me introduce you to Mrs. Renfro’s line of gourmet salsas!
For this foodie feature I was sent 4 complimentary jars of Mrs. Renfro’s Salsa and will be focusing on 2 specific flavors for you today. We received a jar of the Mrs. Renfro’s Pomegranate Salsa with Chipotle and a jar of the Mrs. Renfro’s Craft Beer Salsa, which is one of their newest flavors.
The Craft Beer Salsa is made with Texas Red Ale Beer and is labeled as a medium hot salsa. You can use it as a dip, a marinade or as a chili base. The serving size is 2 Tbsp. with 15 calories per serving.
When it comes to salsa my husband enjoys a medium one with just a tad of heat, that’s exactly what you get with this one. While you get a little heat, it’s not mouth-burning, just right.
My husband had a few of his friends over last weekend to enjoy the football game. He served this salsa with his favorite brand of chips and within 30 minutes, it was completely gone. Yes, gone. Those boys ate it all and I didn’t get to sample it. Matter of fact, I was asked if I had another jar upstairs. Geesh.
The Pomegranate Salsa with Chipotle is labeled as a medium salsa. You can use it as a dip, a marinade or as a topping on your favorite taco-style salad. The serving size is 2 Tbsp. with 20 calories per serving.
When it comes to salsa, I love the sweet flavors with just a tad of spicy added to them. The Pomegranate Salsa is the perfect combination of the two! I made tacos last week and we spooned it right into our tacos as a satisfying filling. It took our same old, same old tacos to a brand new, mouth-watering level. We have also enjoyed it right alongside our favorite tortilla chips. YUMMY!!!
